Capacity Development

 

To develop and maintain thriving communities,  organizations and individuals must have the capacity or the tools to meet the needs of the community.  ICD will offer programs that will provide these necessary tools to increase the capacity of individuals and organizations.

The Institute of Community Development offers programs such as resume writing, job referrals, customer service training, and job training.  ICD also provides capacity development to charitable organizations such as assistance with obtaining nonprofit status, board development, and staff development.

à The job training program provides resources to assist individuals with the tools needed to advance or start their career.  ICD offers basic computer skills training, internet training, and Microsoft Office training as well as interviewing skills and office etiquette training.

à ICD offers to assist individuals with developing resumes or improving existing resumes.  ICD will act as a reference and refer to appropriate jobs after individual has satisfactorily acquired job skills. 

à Customer service training is offered to individuals as well as groups to enhance customer service skills.
